What is Reiki?
Well it's the best thing like ever..... have a read through my story further down and you'll get jist.... in a nutshell, Reiki is Healing Energy. When we hook up with the Reiki energy, we tap directly into Source energy or the Universe or God or whatever you wanna call it and we become a channel... like a Magical pipeline through which the energy flows. We can then direct that energy into whatever we want - ourselves, other people, goals, wishes & dreams..... anything!
This energy is super high vibrational Magic that HEALS. In my personal and professional experience I have seen Reiki heal physical pain, emotional and mental upset - it's an absolute wonder for anxiety and depression - no it doesn't solve your problems for you BUT it just makes everything feel.... better. Reiki helps us keep our outlook positive. It stops that snowball of unpleasant thoughts from dragging us down. It helps us sleep, lifts that tight grip from our anxious mind. It gives us more energy and motivation. It opens our Spiritual connection so we are better able to plug into the guidance coming from the Universe. It helps to clear away unhelpful attachments, trauma, old emotional pain. It helps us learn to love and appreciate ourselves - to feel good about who we are! We can use this energy to manifest stuff we want - money, freedom, a new job.... we can even use it to heal situations that don't feel good and repair relationships that seem bumpy.....
It's a common misconception that folks learn Reiki as part of a therapy to offer other people but SELF HEALING is the number one reason I would encourage everyone on the planet to learn Reiki. 10 minutes a day with your hands on yourself is all you really need to start moving into the person you came here to be.

Reiki & Me.....
Only special, gifted people can be Healers. I have heard that said a lot, I have had it said to me many times and it is so very true.... but what I believe.... no, what I KNOW is that each and every one of us is special, is gifted and we all... every last human on this planet can be and in some way is already a Healer.
We are all made of the same ingredients. We all breathe and bleed, smile and cry. Each and every human on this planet is Divine. Some folks choose to lean into their Divinity. They take the time to work on developing their connection with All There Is, with themselves.... Others are afraid and this fear leads them away from their Spiritual rights as a human, their right to Connect, Create, Heal.
For many this fear tells them that they aren't enough. Not powerful enough, spiritual enough, strong enough, magical enough, special enough.... and what a load of shite.

I didn't think I would be able to do Reiki when I first set out. 15 years ago I signed up to a Reiki level 1 course without knowing a thing about what I was letting myself in for. At the time, I had just returned to college to start my Holistic Therapy qualifications and when I was invited along to the Reiki course I figured it would be a nice treatment to add to my price list..... and it was.... but that one day turned my life around. In fact it turned ME around! It lifted me up, opened my eyes, kicked me up the arse and demanded I start living the life I came here to live, as the person I signed up to be.... the person I deserved to be.

You see Reiki has this way of setting a Healing process in motion. It knows... like everything.... It knows so much more about us than we could believe. Once this energy is on board, it gets to work. It dives right down into the darkest parts of ourselves and begins to shine this light... this Divine and most beautiful light on all those pains, emotions, traumas that we have pushed down and ignored for so long. It is so gentle, yet so incredibly powerful. For the most part, we don't even realise Healing is taking place.... we just start to feel better. Life seems to feel a little easier. The angry, critical voices in our own head start to quiet down. We can make decisions that bit easier and change starts to come. Change that brings the most unexpected and wonderful surprises. And the best thing about the whole process? We start to ALLOW. We begin to open to this new Magic and it's suddenly so much easier to trust in ourselves, to allow ourselves that new level of confidence and self belief, self worth! We start to allow ourselves to enjoy life and if there are parts of life we aren't enjoying, then we start to give ourselves the permission we have spent years looking for, to make some changes.... and we find the courage to go through with those changes, even when it's a bit scary!
Now I'm gonna be honest here because I've painted a pretty miraculous picture with what I have said so far. Deep Healing can be messy. It can often make us feel like we are on an emotional rollercoaster that never stops. But when we have squished pain down into the darkest recesses of our selves for years... sometimes decades.... it can take a bit of work to release it all out. I have cried. My Gods, I have and still do have days where nothing but tears will flow. Those days used to feel awful, but now I know, I understand and accept that those Healing tears are releasing out old shite that is not gonna do me any good as I move forward. It has taken time but I have come to accept that my 'squishy days' as I call them are a necessary part of releasing an old, outdated version of myself so that tomorrow I can step into a whole new, bright and shinier than ever before version of me! It's easier with Reiki when we feel this way because we can turn our hands towards ourselves and soothe away that pain. When we have Reiki we get to take the best medicine and as much as we want of it! With Reiki we can plug directly into a specific frequency of energy that knows exactly how to make us feel better. Healing, for those that want it will never end. We will never be completely Healed until we are dead and have returned to Spirit and even then there's Soul Growth to experience. But that's ok you know, that's how it s meant to be..... a never ending journey of Healing that comes with a promise of limitless Magic, Connection & Discovery.
And you've got to put the work in.... I didn't just take the Reiki course then wake up the next day who I am today. Hell no. My journey has been one of determination, discipline, courage beyond anything I could ever have expected. I have Self Healed, meditated, listened, learned, believed, learned to trust, take risks and chances and I can say, without a shadow of a doubt, from the bottom of my heart, that Reiki level 1 day was the best damn day of my life.
And Reiki won't do all of this for you... absolutely not. Reiki will support you, guide you, Heal you, connect you, teach you..... it will open the way for so many wonderful experiences, feelings and Magics... but you have to let it. You have to make that decision and say 'I'm in. I want this".....then as if by Magic.... your eyes will open and a new world will await x
